Prior to founding Renata Parker Public Relations, Renata was Vice President/Director of Public Relations for Henderson Advertising in Greenville, S.C. She gained national public relations experience from some of the largest Ad/PR firms in Atlanta, including Fitzgerald & Co. where she served as PR Vice President/Management Supervisor. She also was Director of PR for ad agency Aydlotte & Cartwright, Senior Account Manager for Hill & Knowlton affiliate Price/McNabb and Account Manager for international PR firm Hill & Knowlton. A member of the International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Association and the Southeast Travel Writers Society, Renata recently completed a professional photography workshop for journalists in Italy which was directed by National Geographic Magazine. Renata is a regular guest speaker at universities, professional groups and non-profits on journalism, branding, PR and travel-related topics. Active in many community and professional organizations, Renata is a current member of the Public Relations Society of America and was honored with the prestigious Mercury Award for her program on "Reputation Management." She is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 30 and was elected to a three-year term on the Board of Regents where she steered the marketing for Leadership Development’s Political Symposium program. Renata serves on the board as Vice-President of the Greenville Professional Women's Forum, a prestigious group of 100 accomplished women in Upstate area of South Carolina. Currently she is President of the Christ Episcopal Church Women (ECW), a sustaining member of the Junior League and a founding member of Greenville Children's Garden at Linky Stone Park. In addition, she serves on the Board of the Friends of Brookgreen Gardens in Litchfield, SC and the Board of the Charity Rose Ball.
