D. Elaine McEachern, APRMcEachern Communication is led by Elaine McEachern, APR, an accredited public relations and marketing communications executive with 25 years of award-winning experience. Her expertise has been honed through working with some of the nation’s most prestigious corporations and as an independent counselor. Elaine’s experience includes business-to-business, business-to-consumer, healthcare and nonprofits. Before launching the company in 1993, Elaine gained valuable experience as Director of Marketing Communications for MetLife, Regional Communications Manager for Cushman & Wakefield and Marketing Manager for Cardinal Industries. She often speaks to business groups on public relations and marketing. Elaine has earned awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) including two Phoenix Awards; the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA). An active member of PRSA, Elaine is Accredited in Public Relations (APR). She served as Treasurer, Secretary, Assembly Delegate and on the Board for PRSA’s Georgia Chapter Also, she served on boards for IABC and GHA. Elaine has served on the Marketing Communications Committee of the American Lung Association; Public Information Committee of the American Cancer Society and chaired the Cathedral of St. Philip’s Antique Show Publicity . She has provided volunteer services for the Georgia Biomedical Partnership , Trust for Public Land , DeKalb Clean and Beautiful, United Way and Friends of the Atlanta Opera. She earned an MA degree in journalism from the University of Georgia , a BA degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina and studied theater in London with The University of the South.
