Judi Burns Borgo, APRJudi Burns Borgo, APR, has held executive positions in profit, not-for-profit and government entities. She specializes in crisis communications, media relations and strategic planning. Borgo is also an accomplished writer and editor, with a background including corporate communications, e-communications, speechwriting and copywriting. Prior to forming Borgo Communications of Atlanta, she served as Assistant Director of Communications for the Technical College System of Georgia. Her other positions include Director of Membership, Marketing and Volunteer services for the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Council (formerly Northwest Georgia Council); Senior Account Executive for Ketchum Public Relations; Director of the Georgia Division of Cardinal Industries, Inc. Borgo has an ABJ degree in journalism from the University of Georgia She was inducted into the Public Relations Hall of Fame by UGA’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Active in her community, currently she is providing volunteer public relations and media relations services for the Olmsted Linear Park Alliance. Judi is Ethics Officer and has served as President for the Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA/GA) and was inducted into PRSA/GA’s Order of the Phoenix, the organization’s highest honor. She has served as Chairman of Emory University’s Public Affairs Council and as Chairman of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce’s Arts Alive event. |
